At 4 weeks, Opal liked to look at faces as well as her mobile, and
she said "goo" and "ga" just like babies in cartoons! She was settling
down in the evenings, although still occasionally fussy. She went out to
her first restaurant, and she smiled at people. Unfortunately, she was also
a major vomiter, specializing on drenching every piece of my clothing even
when being held by Paul. Paul took to calling her "Milkybreath". We discovered
that she liked squeaky noises, especially the squeaker in her playmat. At
about 5 weeks, she became spotty baby, covered in newborn acne.
