At about 6 weeks, Opal had found her reflection in the mirror, and was interested in looking at dangly toys as well. She was getting pretty good at stuffing her hands in her mouth, although she hadn't quite figured out orientation, so sometimes she tried to stuff the back of her hand in her mouth. She was down to spitting up like a normal baby most of the time.  She still had fussy periods; usually we could calm her by bouncing her in her hammock, often lots of squeaking would help, but sometimes nothing worked.  We bought more toys  with squeakers in them. She went to her first party at Easter,  and we applied for her US passport. At 6 weeks exactly she stayed with a babysitter for the first time (her doting grandfather).
