These cover late December through March. Opal started walking in February, at about 11 months old -- respectable, but later than everybody had been predicting, watching her cruise around holding onto things. The Radio Flyer walker wagon was a birthday present from her grandfather, and although she likes pushing it around, she prefers getting into and out of it. She's especially happy when she has young visitors who will push her around in it. This was a big food time for Opal, who gave up bottles in January (entirely her idea, we had nothing to do with it and didn't catch on for nearly a week) and took up spoons in March. She went from being just not all that interested in solid food (except pickles and olives) to eating pretty much whatever, whenever, in amounts that startle the people at daycare.

Just so you won't think she's all sweetness and light, a moment of well-dressed fury.

I have no idea what he thinks is so funny. How else am I supposed to hold onto 2 crackers and still have a hand free?

Opal is annoyed by this photography stuff, but Brent is still having a good time.
