Cycling To Daycare
I've been contemplating taking Opal to daycare by bike (we have a trailer and I commute to work by bike when it's not my turn to take her to daycare), so we gave it a test run today.
Time to daycare is about 25 minutes and covers 7.36km. From there to work is another 2.8km taking about 10 minutes (although going via Bayshore Parkway instead is 4.11km and bumps it up to 15 minutes).
At least on a fairly quiet day like today, it's a nice ride and not much longer than commuting by car. We'll see how it goes with morning traffic later.
Oh, and if you thought San Antonio between Middlefield and Central was bad in a car, try it on a bike with a bike trailer. Unkempt would be a kind description of it's current state.
