This afternoon, Opal was more than a little tired. While she needed a nap earlier, she convinced Elizabeth to take her to the park (during which I made Chocolate Ripple Cake for dessert tomorrow) and when they got back I took Opal for a ride.

If you're thinking that your exercise routine is lacking something, consider adding a 35km bike ride with a 22kg child (as of the last weighing, probably more like 23kg or 24kg by now) and bike trailer (another 13kg). If you're in the Mountain View area, this is the distance from our place to the El Camino Real entrance to the Stephens Creek trail up the trail to the Embarcadero exit on 101 (goes around the edge of the Shoreline park) and back with a small detour on the way back via my work.

Quite fun, and Opal came back well rested.
