How To Deal With Ghosts
July 19, 2008
We went to brunch at Richard's, where Opal spent a while hiding behind me and then decided that actually, it was all going to be OK, and hung out with various adults. She spent quite a while hunting for ghosts, and transforming them into things. Apparently, the best way to get rid of a ghost is to turn it into a doorknob. She turned one of them into Scooby Doo, though.
Then, as a very special treat, because we were both tired, I let her watch videos on totlol.com while she ate dinner. This introduced her to Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, which she was hypnotized by.
Read to Opal today: Fly High, Fly Low, Simon's Dream (the third Fog Mound, which I found to be a bit hasty in winding things up, although the flying sofa was a nice Oz tribute), and a big chunk of The Tin Woodman of Oz
The Running Book Count: 453 + 23 (last year 1886 + 2)
